In town on business - for a
conference perhaps? We're close to Hackle Brooke,
Glenhove Conference Centre, Sandton Convention Centre, Coca
Cola Dome, and a little further to Expo Centre at NASREC,
and the Gallagher Convention Centre.
The tourist has a choice of several marvelous and
outstanding shopping centres, such as Sandton City with its
Nelson Madela Square, Northgate with an Ice Rink and Cresta.
For the outdoor there are parks and botanical gardens, like
Emmerentia Dam and Delta Park. Within easy driving distance
are many golf courses in Joburg: such as competition courses
of Randpark Ridge, Wanderers, Houghton, Bryanston Country
Club, Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Clubs . For
entertainment there is The Randburg Brightwater Commons with
all its restaurants, shops and amusments (10-pin bowling,
skate boarding, adventure golf) and nearby Monte Casino with
its Italian theme Casino, restaurants, cinemas, theatres and
renowned Bird Park. Randburg Sports Complex is host to
national events, while, Wanderers Cricket Ground can be
reached with Park and Ride as can access to football and
rugby stadiums in the Gauteng Province. Then there are the
gyms, two of Virgin Active. The Coca Cola Dome is the venue
for outstanding shows and exhibitions. Randburg is home to
The Magistrates Court and The Land Court.
If you are in Johannesburg for Medical Tourism and Safari ,
then this area is the ideal retreat and convenient for the
many different types of Clinics, Medical Centres and
Hospitals. Those you will find nearby are The Donald Gordon
Medical Centre, the Netcare facilities of Garden City ,
Milpark, Parklane or Rosebank Clinics. Others like the
Mediclinic Hospitals at Morningside or Sandton, are
complemented by the Afrox Healthcare Units at The Flora
Clinic (next to The Mayo Centre) Brenthurst Clinic and
Wilgeheuvel Hospital. Olivedale Clinic is yet another
option.
The Randburg Region is convenient for the visitor or for
convalescing.
